A really good performance, and great goals by Podolski and Ramsey, sadly it leaves you wondering what could have been. But on the bright side Podolski looked sharp as did Ramsey, Cambell worked hard and Sanogo tripped over his own feet. It would appear that Debuchy survived unscathed and we all look forward to his return. A very good score but only an Anderlecht victory could have turned it into gold. Enough from me so let's move on to Matty Sadler's ratings>

My first crack at player ratings so be kind. I warn you now, I'm not generous.

Szczesny - 6. Didn't really have much to do, but did it all competently. No goalkeeper could've stopped that Sneijder free kick.

Debuchy - 6. Slotted back in pretty well against a relatively weak opposition. Good game for him to make his comeback in. A welcome return.
Chambers - 6. Did nothing wrong but didn't have all that much to do either. Competent.
Mertesacker - 6. Ditto Chambers.
Bellerin - 6. Ditto Chambers & Mertesacker. Kudos for doing a job for us at left back.

Flamini - 6. Wasn't exactly tested much in the first half. Left the attacking to the better players. Did nothing wrong. Taken off at half time so he is safe for the weekend.
Oxlade-Chamberlain - 7. One of our two best players in the first half. Drive, pace and determination. Dropped off a bit in the second half, but so did the whole team.
Ramsey - 8. One of our two best players in the first half. No one can argue with two goals and an assist. Taken off at half time so he is safe for the weekend.

Campbell - 6. In and out of the game, but showed pace and willingness going forward.
Podolski - 7. Give him the ball on his left foot and he will shoot, and more often than not he will score. Two good goals, otherwise didn't do very much. Productive.

Sanogo - 5. Our worst player in my opinion. Absolutely nothing stuck to him. He fouled a fair bit as well. Only good thing he did was get an assist for Podolski's second.

Zelalem* - 6. Didn't do too much but looked pretty calm and composed in possession.
Maitland-Niles* - 6. Ditto Zelalem.
O'Connor - N/A. Not on long.
