WENGERS BIGGEST ERROR OF THE SEASON
Everybody had a slightly different view on this, or a way of expressing it, so I had to group some together. Playing the same team too much, ‘our goalkeepers', playing the same football, these all got mentioned. As well as, rather strangely, ‘Playing Arshavin up front' and the cryptic comment ‘Wigan away'. But Wenger's main errors it seems are ‘not buying' people. ‘Not buying a striker' either at Christmas, or before the seasons' start, was the winner by some distance.
BEST NON ARSENAL ACHIEVEMENT
Well, apart from the rather unsavoury vote for ‘Chelsea winning the double' and, in what was surely a wind-up, ‘Spurs getting fourth place', our cheeky West London pals Fulham won this by the proverbial country mile, for their heroic if ultimately doomed procession to the UEFA cup final. Other mentions went to the Premiership exploits of Wolves and Birmingham, as well as one entry for ‘New Zealand reaching the World Cup'. Admittedly this appears to have been from someone who lives in New Zealand.
BEST NON ARSENAL MATCH
There is a lesson here, and it may of course just be because their games go on far longer than everybody else's, but it does seem that no matter how much we whinge and moan about them, everybody likes watching Manchester United. They feature in more than half the votes, their 4-3 defeat of Manchester City comes in first, their home defeat with Bayern comes in second - their away defeat to Everton and epic defeat of City in the Carling cup also feature.
Fulham V Juventus also gets a mention, I think would have got more votes if they hadn't played it at tea time, and also Chelsea v Inter, which I suspect was due to the result rather than the scintillating football. And finally, a New Zealand match, obviously.
BEST NON ARSENAL PLAYER
In a result that will surely have BwanaWenger smashing up his living room, the United love-in continues, with England's' rip roaring World Cup winning Sir Wayne Rooney coming in first, ahead of Drogba, with Messi third. Now I didn't stipulate whether this had to be Premiership or World football, so this may explain why Messi doesn't win, and why Christiano Ronaldo bowls in fourth, with the same number of votes as Joe Hart, and er... New Zealand and Blackburn Rovers' Ryan Nelson.
MOST HATED PLAYER
Well, there wasn't much competition here. AT voters closed ranks and fairly unanimously for Mr Ryan Shawcross, in a move that will surely enrage all right thinking ‘hard but fair tackling' Englishmen. It seems we are also people of strong moral fibre, because John Terrys' alleged off field antics bring him in at number two. Adebayor comes a disappointing number three, it appears time is indeed a healer. People also don't like Lionel Messi, Xavi, Steven Gerard, and there was the obligatory vote for Ashley Cole, probably from his wife.
MOST HATED MANAGER
A hotly contested one this, and a disappointing result for pre-season favourite Phil Brown, who trails in third. Sam Allardyce was second, although I can't remember him doing anything last season other than looking even more than usual like a cow in a suit. The winner of course, is Stoke City's Tony Pulis, with more than a third of the vote. Interesting to know how many he would have got without the Shawcross incident, I personally don't find him nearly as offensive as Phil Brown. Other honourable mentions should go to Harry, Owen Coyle, and Sir Alex who will be disappointed with his single vote.
TW*T OF THE SEASON
Some of our overseas contributors did not know what a ‘tw*t' was, and I am not about to inform them. Suffice to say Phil Browns disappointing performance in ‘most hated manager' was because he was saving himself for a strong entry in this category, in fact he was only just pipped by overall winner John Terry. Other strong contenders were, rather unfortunately for an Arsenal forum, ‘Wenger', and both our goalkeepers. Howard Webb and Phil Thompson get honourable mentions.
WHO WE LEAST WANT TO LEAVE
Oh dear. That's all I will say. A landslide.
WHO WE LEAST WANT TO LEAVE AFTER FABREGAS
A bit more interesting this one, and Rocking Robin Van Persie is apparently the other player we wake up in a cold sweat about, picturing him standing in his new Barcelona shirt. I expect they are lining up a bid for him. And for Vermaelen, who comes a strong second. In fact the only other vote was for Arshavin, who seems to divide opinion considerably.
PLAYER WHO WE MOST WANT TO LEAVE
Well it's a taxi for the Vaseline-gloved set piece flapper Lukas Fabianski, a handsome winner in this category. And the taxi it seems would be driven by our senior static stopper Mr Frank Silvestre. With Eduardo having been bundled into the boot by angry fans, and Almunia running along behind with the suitcases. Despite winning a couple of prizes in this survey, Samir Nasri gets a mention as well.
SHOULD WENGER GO THIS SUMMER
Although there were a few attached conditions, such as ‘as long as he buys a keeper', as well as the fantastic comment ‘Doh! I just don't know anymore', nobody actually voted for Wenger to go. It seems that despite all our gripes, nobody actually wants to take the plunge into the unknown.
PLAYER WE WOULD MOST LIKE TO BUY
Hmm, I might have messed up here, because obviously if we had unlimited funds we would all buy Lionel Messi and such like, and that is how some of you interpreted it, with Messi the clear winner. What I wanted was realistic transfers, not sure if we really got anywhere here, Buffon comes a strong second and Luis Suarez comes third. These players were some way ahead of the field.
Joe Hart and Yaya Toure come next, which is where we get to some slightly more sensible ideas. It was a very long list of names after that, Maicon and Lucio get mentions in the defensive group, but surprisingly very few suggestions for new goalkeepers.
SPURS PLAYER WE WOULD MOST LIKE TO HAVE IN OUR TEAM
Some of you could not bring yourselves to vote here, leaving blanks, or writing rude words. But for those that could stomach it, Ledley King is the winner, presumably for his impeccable record of being injured all the time. I'm surprised Wenger hasn't put a bid in, actually. Luca Modric is the other mention, although don't we have rather a lot of players like Modric? (actually, Wengers probably lining up a bid for him as well). And the only other one to get more than one vote, was greasy Gareth Bale.

Playing attacking 4-3-3 with a high line without a solid defensive line that can man-mark and handle 1-on-1 duel and no defensive midfielder that can close down space and dominate midfield.
Acres of space at the flanks adn down the middle for counter-attacks whenever our buildup plays broke down in opponent half.
The talk of formations is overblown. Almost every single formation known to man (which uses a standard back four) has a lone front man, a defensive midfielder, a general midfielder, two wingers and a player off the front man.
Its what you instruct the players to do which changes.
Unfortuantely, with players like Diaby, Nasri, Walcott and a selfish Arshavin....
