Well England and Scotland kicked off the 2023 Calcutta Cup match with afast pace on both sides and som excellent tries.

Scotland came to Twickenham and put down their marker.  What a great rugby performance by both teams.  England's new coaches, new youngish team and it shows but they are holding their own however, Farrell does not seem to have his kicking boots on today.  We have seriously left 4 points on the park, but just before half time we get a penalty which Farrell does not miss. HT England 13 v 12  Scotland

First half, not impressed with some of England's tackling or Dombrandt to me he looks weak. Very impressed with Max Malins, he just appeared out of nowhere for both tries, just brilliant.  And the Duhan van der Merwe was exceptional for Scotland.  What a cracking match.

Second half: Genge Try - England 18-12 Scotland but.......... England almost immediately give a soft try back to Scotland, lack of concentration in my opinion! 

Yeah Dombrandt off Earl on!  England putting huge pressure on the game now, changes Van Poortvliet off Youngs on.  Lots of changes now as the score is England 23 v 19 Scotland.  Such a good match, you can't take your eyes off this game both teams are giving their all.  Penalty Scotland 23 v 22   So close.

Have to agree and it was on a knife edge Scotland scoring another try.  England 23 v 29 Scotland

 Scotland win the Calcutta Cup and deserved winners.

Overall have to say England's defence needs looking at some big gaps during this game.
