Italian Giancarlo Fisichella is confident of a Grand Prix victory in this weekends Grand Prix which is held at Imola. Fisichella has a slight advantage going into this weekends race as he is using a fresh engine and also the new Renault Power pack, B-spec V8 R26 engine The Start of the 2006 season has been Fisico's best since entering the sport, and he has already won one grand prix and the speedy italian is looking to win at imola with the new specification V8 engine that renault will be using for the first time in race conditions.

"I'm going to every race this year looking to score maximum points," Fisichella said. "I think Renault has an edge at the moment, so we have to aim for the victory at every Grand Prix. I have a fresh engine, and a bit more power from the new specification, so that gives me a fantastic chance for this race. We are not underestimating our rivals, because we know that the level of competition is very close the front. But I believe we have the package to win in Imola."

"Physically, I am fitter than ever before, and feeling really good at the moment," he added. "And compared to last year, I am in a much better position in the championship: more points, and closer to the lead. So yes, things are looking very good right now."

Fisichella has had a good start tot he 2006 season with a victory in the second race in Malaysia along with moving from 22nd to 5th in the last race
