Andrew Is A Happy Man

A relieved Rob Andrew was full of praise for Mark Wilkinson and Hall Charlton as Falcons avoided the giant bananaskin that was Leeds Tykes.

Rob said:"When we turn up we can play a bit and some of our rugby was as good as we've played this season. "It's just a case of getting the balance in our game and getting confidence in the way we play.

"We were a bit nervous in the first 15 minutes while they looked like a side who have won three games and drawn one."But once Hall Charlton got that try we grew.

They kept coming back at us and scored two good tries but we scored three great tries of our own, and there was a lot of good rugby there as well and we deserved to win."

"I thought Mark Wilkinson played extremely well, his role in Stuart Grimes' try was excellent. His passing and decision-making throughout the game, for someone making his debut, was superb. He hasn't played higher than Division Three North before, so that was a pretty big debut."
