Reaction from Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle following Town’s 1-1 draw with Coventry City earlier today.

Royle: “It was a bad goal to give away and we paid the price for losing possession on the edge of the box.

 

“It's not the first time that has happened this season either and it's something we have to put right.

 

“It's a frustrating result because we had 90 per cent of the game and yet have only picked up a point. That's four points we have dropped against Coventry this season and we should have had two wins from those games.

 

“We passed the ball well, as usual, but we lacked the cutting edge in attack and I have told our front two that we need a little more from them, not in effort because they gave their all, just a bit more clever play.

 

“We have options in midfield now but we need to get the balance right in that area and we're still not there at the moment.

 

“I thought Gavin Williams was superb for us, though. His all-round display was outstanding and he was easily our man of the match.”
