Town manager Jim Magilton was delighted with the performance of his players against Watford and Steve Bennett earlier today.

Jim: “My players were magnificent and deserved the applause they got from our tremendous fans at the end.

“To a man they were fantastic and we deserved to get something out of the game.

“I was desperate for them to put on a show and they did that. It can be a cruel game sometimes and it was very emotional in our dressing-room after.”

Town played 45 minutes of the game with only 10 men after Steve Bennett sent off George O’Callaghan for something no one in the ground including the Watford fans seemed to spot it other then Bennett and Jim was not pleased with his overall performance, Jim added:  “I haven't been able to get a clear view of the incident on video but from what I have seen and been told, it was harsh on George, Danny looked level with the last man when he scored and the linesman was dozing as well.

“I wasn't happy with the referee's performance full stop. He told Gary Roberts after five minutes not to touch him and then the ref frog marches off one of our injured players (Jaime Peters).I have never seen anything like it before.”
