Town manager Jim Magilton has praised the performance of his players following tonight’s 0-0 draw with Stoke City.
Jim: “I am proud of every one of my players. They were immense. The fans stood as one to salute the players at the end of the game and they deserved that, we had a makeshift defence and they were magnificent. David Wright, Fabian, Lewis Price behind them. They were all fantastic.
“We limited Stoke to very few chances and that's no mean feat given their strength at home. We came with a game plan to frustrate them and it worked.
“My players put their bodies on the line for the cause and that speaks volumes for them. They deserve all the credit going. They put that Ipswich Town shirt on and showed what it means to them and I'm proud of every single one of them.
“Jon Walters was outstanding on his debut and showed signs of what he can do. He did a terrific job for us playing on his own up front but I don't want to pick out individuals because they were all magnificent.”
