Town manager Jim Magilton feels a harsh penalty decision cost Town something against West Brom earlier today.

Diomansy Kamara was awarded a penalty after Sylvain Legwinski was adjudged to have handled the ball, Kamara took the penalty which Price saved only for the rebound to be poked home by Kamara.  

 

Jim: “It was a poor decision by the referee and it cost us the game, I felt we were very comfortable at that stage and could have gone on to maybe have won the match but the penalty proved crucial.

 

“It was a shocker really. I couldn't see how Sylvain was suppose to get out of the way. The referee looked like he gave a corner at first but there were a few appeals and the next minute he's pointing to the spot.

 

“I've told the lads though that they can take a lot of heart out of their performance. They gave everything from the first minute and we more than matched them for long periods, especially in the first-half.

 

“It's during those times when we are on top, we need to score and that is what is missing at the moment.”

 

Tony Mowbray also felt the penalty was harsh, saying: “The penalty looked harsh and Jim is probably thinking the score line is harsh on his team as well.”
