PMM: Cardiff – Town
By Aston December 9 2006
Town manager Jim Magilton is pleased with the draw at Cardiff but feels Town could have had all three points.

Jim: “If you offered me a point before the game I would have taken it given Cardiff's position in the table but at the end I thought we could have taken all three, we got off to a sluggish start and gave them a lead but we showed great character to get back in the game and got our just rewards with Jon's goal.

“The lads showed the same character when we went behind again and I'm delighted with them, not only for the way we got back in the game but also for the way we passed the ball around.

“We had periods of good possession and passed the ball around very well and I see signs that we are getting there.”

Jim feels that Cardiff’s penalty was dubious adding: “It was a dubious decision. I have seen them given and not given, the referee gave a free-kick at first but having given the foul, he consulted with his assistant and he said it was in the box so he had no option but to give a penalty.”
