Report: Cardiff 2-2 Town

Town twice came from behind to earn a point against Cardiff at Ninian Park earlier today.

The home side took the lead after just three minutes when Darren Purse kneed in Kevin McNaughton’s cross.  

 

Three minutes into the second half Town were level after Jon Macken poked home a Gary Roberts corner.

 

Cardiff were awarded a penalty after 66 minutes when De Vos fouled Steven Thompson, Purse stepped up to take to spot kick which he converted to make it 2-1.

 

Another penalty, this time in Town’s favour, was awarded after Gary Roberts was fouled by Chris Gunter, Roberts converting the kick to make it 2-2.

 

Cardiff: Alexander, McNaughton, Purse, Johnson, Gunter, Ledley, Scimeca, Wright (Cooper 62), Kamara (Glombard 75), Chopra, Campbell (Thompson 62).
