Report: Town 3-1 Norwich
By Aston November 19 2006
Town claimed all three points in the first East Anglian derby of the season, after seeing off Norwich 3-1 earlier today.

Gary Roberts was unlucky not to score his first Town goal early on when his shot looped over Paul Gallacher only for Jason Shackell to clear off the line.

Luke Chadwick was gifted a goal against the run of play when Matt Richard’s rolled the ball into the path of Chadwick who poked the ball in from 8 yards.

Legwinski levelled the scores in the 40th minute when Gary Roberts’s cross fell to the Frenchman who fired home from 6 yards.

Matt Richards missed the chance to give Town a 2-1 lead early in the second half after Gallacher had parried a Billy Clarke shot into his path, firing high.

Legwinski powered a shot from the edge of the area but was unable to find a path through the Norwich bodies between him and the goal.

Danny Haynes was introduced with 15 minutes left to play and made an impact within a minute when he headed home a cross from Gary Roberts to make it 2-1.

Haynes made it 3-1 in the final minute with a shot that went in off the post.
