Town won their third game in a row after beating Coventry City 2-1 at Portman Road last night.

Town took the lead after 52 minutes when Mark Noble fired in Alan Lee’s pass from inside the 6 yard box.

 

The visitors levelled the score after 72 minutes when Elliot Ward fired home McKenzie’s cross but the Sky Blues couldn’t hold for a point as Billy Clarke came off the bench and after just 6 minutes had put Town back in front when he fired the ball goal-wards and into the net after a slight deflection off Andy Marshall’s hand.

 

Ipswich: Price, Wilnis (Naylor 66), De Vos, Bruce, Harding, Williams, Legwinski, Walton, Noble (Currie 84), Lee, Macken (Clarke 80).
