Town started the game much the better side and could have been ahead several times before Nicky Forster broke the deadlock on 30 minutes when he ran onto a long ball before slotting the ball past Kiraly in the Palace goal.

Town held the lead until the 58^th minute when Jobi McAnuff fired past Shane Supple following a defensive mix up between Wilnis and Bruce and just three minutes later Palace head the lead after Jamie Scowcroft just managed to bundle the ball over the line.
