Egyptian striker Mido is set to hold talks with Newcastle United manager Sir Bobby Robson over a possible deal which would see him move to St James' Park. The 21-year-old currently plays for Olympique Marseille, and is reportedly keen on a move to Newcastle United.
Speaking to local media in Cairo, he revealed that he will be meeting Magpies' manager Robson, and a posibilities of a move will be discussed.
Mido recently turned down a move to Besiktas, but a move to Newcastle is far from likely at the moment, with his agent confirming talks with several Spanish and Italian clubs.
In other news, Southampton striker James Beattie has slammed reports that he will be moving to Tyneside this summer, saying:
"I am happy here. I am contracted for another two seasons and I am sure if anything did happen, I wouldn't have a say in it anyway."
