By Football Aid July 8 2008 Twenty-Six Newcastle United fans raised thousands of pounds for charity by living their dream & playing on the hallowed turf at St James' Park. Nearly £13,000 was raised by Magpies, each of whom had paid for the unique chance to pull on the famous black & white shirt & play in a 90 minute fully officiated charity football match on the 7th May 2008, alongside legends Ian Bogie & John Anderson.
