BORO AWAY, 5TH MARCH.

Toon columnist Mark writes his views on the Boro Away game back on the 5th March. A game which may have put Newcastle out of the Premiership title race. BORO AWAY, 5TH MARCH.

There really is very little to say about this one. I made my feelings on the original postponement quite clear at the time. Boro were running scared. Had this been played when it should have been then there would have been no doubt, we would have won at a canter. But no, the approaching roads were "hazardous" (but strangely not 5 miles away at Hartlepool), and when it came to the re-arranged fixture you just knew it was going to go pear shaped.

We were on an excellent run, they were languishing in mid table but with the fans favourite Juninho back. By all accounts a pretty dull game ensued with few clear opportunities created, and simple cross and header did us 1-0.

Not really very worried though, we still know who is the class act in the area and we can't win every game. It's just a shame knowing what would have happened the first time round....

Keep the faith.
