A level-headed youngster, whose tremendous progress was rewarded with a one-year professional contract in the summer 2004, which was only a year into his scholarship programme, was snapped up by The Saddlers after impressing in a trial game for the club.

He managed to break into The Saddlers reserve team towards the end of that season and after a very impressive pre-season in 2004 the youngster was rewarded with his first professional contract and with training and playing alongside senior players his development continued.

The young defender is strong when in the air and comfortable on the ground, and was allowed to leave the club on loan during the final few months on loan at Danish outfit Koge Boldklub where he got a taste of first team football and he also had the chance to experience a different culture.

Making his English Football League debut with a very brief appearance as a substitute against Chesterfield in January 2005, he was then allowed to join Redditch on loan in October 2005 in a deal which was eventually extended until the end of last season, however the player was recalled back to Bescot Stadium in January due to the financial problems at the non-league club.  He then spent the final few months of last term at Nationwide Conference outfit, Hednesford Town before signing a new deal at the club in May 2006.
