17. Allan Picken
The Saddlers completed the signing of powerful defender, allan Pickenm from manager Richard Monet’s former Club, Newcastle United Jets in July 2006 and made his debut for The Saddlers in the opening day victory at Rochdale.
His former clubs include Sydney Unite, Caterbury Olympic and APIA Leichardt, and he is determined to prove himself in the professional game, after impressing whenm he was last under manager Richard Money’s leadership, where he made 22 league appearances for The Jets.
The 24 year-old, was born in Sydney to Scottish parents and stands 6’2” tall and is a vocal no-nonsence performer who is extremely good in the air. Saddler’s fans haven’t seen much of Allan because of his injury problems and the defender has only started the one game for The Saddlers.
