14. Mark Wright
The son of former Saddler Evran Wright, Mark progressed through the Walsall ranks and is a highly-thought-of player who is an attack-minded wide-man who can also play at full-back if needed, he got his first taste of the professional game when he made his debut in a League Cup tie at West Ham United in 2000, as well as spending time out on loan at Nuneaton Borough.
Wright managed to force his way into the first-team picture again in 2003/04, following some impressive appearances for the reserves and went on to make 11 appearances under his belt and bagged 2 goals in the process.
In 2004/05 he managed to establish himself in The Saddlers first team playing at right back for most of the campaign, in the latter part of the season saw him convert to his more familiar wide midfield, which allowed him to push forward and allow him to support the attack. As a result of this fine form he was offered a new two-year deal.
