Matty Fryatt was 17 years old when he signed a contract with the Saddlers. 02/03 saw him frequently finding the net for the reserves, impressing the management and the fans He got his first goal for the Saddlers against Preston, and towards the end of the season began to become more of a fixture in the First Team Squad. 04-05 saw him really make his mark. His good goal scoring form saw him earn a call up to the England U19s and he ended the season as the Saddlers top marksmen with 15 goals. Not bad for a player who came of the bench for 14 of his 36 league games. | ||||||||||

| Matty Fryatt has bags of skill and the pace to complement it. He is cool in front of goal and is one of the best finishers at the club. | ||||||||||
