Well we got the vital 4 points over the weekend but many would have thought that the results would have been the other way around but at the end of the day, who cares? It's amazing how a team can change from being utterly useless to looking like a side capable of promotion within just 48 hours. Even though we were on the back foot for several periods in the game, Wycombe never looked like they would score and I can't recall Marriott having to make a noteworthy save. On the other ahnd however, the Imps looked dangerous on every attack and all 3 goals, especially the final 2 were excellently taken.

On a great note, it's nice to see the defence doing their job properly for once, they have been the main reason we haven't won more matches but it was only a matter of time before we got our full strength defence back and without trying to sound disrespectful for those who covered the injured, the difference was immense and they easily snuffed out virtually any danger that Wycombe brought our way.

There were a lot of fantastic players today but 4 definatly stood out. Jeff Hughes is pure class and the way he easily skipped by Senda for the first goal is a great exampe of why he should be playing at a higher level. Scott Kerr has finally learnt how to hit the ball over the first defender and he was pivotal in the midfield and set up countless chances for the other players. Green obviously read what I said about him the other day as he put in a great performance and was unlucky not to score twice for the first time in his City career. Finally, we get to Jamie Forrester, what can I say, when this guy is on form, he is the different and let's hope we extend his loan deal.

The playoffs are definatly in our own hands now and with just 3 games to go, I feel that 6 points would virtually guarantee a 4th trip in a row to the end of season lottery but even 5 points could possibly be enough but one vital thing is that we don't lose otherwise the advantage we forged out today, could prove to be useless. Peterborough have a very hard time coming up with tough home games against Macclesfield and Wycombe being sandwiched by a trip to Orient and if they come out of those with more than 4 points, I'd be very surprised. Darlington are definatly the danger side as you would fancy them to get something out of their game against Bury and then they have games against Wycombe and Wrexham. However, the Imps could make that irrelevant because after this weekend's tough game against Orient, we have 2 winnable games against Shrewsbury (queue the inevitable invasion of idiots) and Rochdale.

Paul Morgan and Gareth McAUley have came back in and we looked a bit more solid, Marvin Robinson plays up front and pkuts himself about and puts teams under pressure and Jamie Forrester has proved to be a quality finisher. But I don't want to pick anyone out though as it's a team game and we were all magnificent today."

"Jamie Forrester is a finisher and that's why I brought himt o the club in the first place to replace Simon Yeo. He's proven to be a clinical finisher. Sometimes you want him to do a bit more but he's in there to score goals and that's what he's doing. Whilst I'd like to keep Jamie, we don't know what will happen."

We are running out of time but the management staff are all confident and we're remaining positive. At the end of the day we have to instill the boys with more confidence than they have at the minute."

"In the game that I watched (WWFC v Lincoln) we stank for 90 minutes. Had one shot of note, a speculative one from Russell Martin. The strikers were ineffective to say the least although Charlie held up the ball well at times it was a pointless exercise as no one was capable of picking up the ball from him. Easter was so slow that at one point an old boy heading for a half time Bovril overtook as he chased after a through ball. His desire for a salty beverage was therefore greater than Easter's for the team. Finally, if we rely on penalty shouts to go our way then that sums up our attitude.
