City will play their first game in Wales since the playoff final when they travel to promotion chasing Wrexham. It says it all about the division that neither Lincoln or Wrexham have had good seasons but are still within easy reach of the playoffs and recent head to head definatly favours the Imps.

A lot of City fans could be forgiven for forgetting about the match coming up at the weekend against Wrexham. It has been chaotic in the past few days and it'll be a relief just to see a game and have that to moan about rhather than off the field stuff. Infact, City could be due a win on Saturday, especially if Wrexham play like they did earlier in the season against us. City also won in the only visit to the Racecourse since Keith took over, however that was in a simpler time.

 

Marvin Robinson is guaranteed not to be playing as he serves out a 1 match suspension and  defender Paul Morgan also misses out due to injury. There could even be a return for Steve Robinson, who came back from his loan at Worksop during the week. McAuley will more than likely not be involved because at the time of writing, he's apparantly close to agreeing a deal with. Other tahn that, there should be no real surprises with the team that <insert name of person in charge at the time> picks

Ever since they very "controversially" relegated (in other words, weren't good enough after they had a 10 point deduction), Wrexham have kept up with the promotion chasers but have started to slowly fall away in recent weeks. They started the season with an unspectacular 2-0 home win over Boston United before losing out to a last minute goal at Notts County and then a goalless draw at Northampton. Carlisle won 1-0 at the Racecourse before Doncaster eliminated them from the Carling Cup by the same scoreline. A disappointing 2-2 draw at Bury was followed up with a 3-1 victory over Barnet, who were doing well at the time.

A 2-0 win at home to Cheltenham was followed by a 2-0 defeat at Sincil Bank before two 1-1 draws against Orient and Macclesfield. However, Wycombe thrashed them 4-1 at the Causeway. However, two impressive wins over struggling sides saw them climb up the table as they beat Torquay 3-0 and Stockport 4-2 before being eliminated from the LDV with a 4-3 defeat at Blackpool. Another away defeat, this time at Bristol Rovers was followed by a draw at Peterborough before a lucky home victory over Darlington. However, much like in the other two cup competitions, Wrexham were elimated in the first round of the FA Cup thanks to a 2-1 defeat at Port Vale.

An impressive 3-0 away win at Oxford was followed by a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Peterborough and then a 2-1 defeat at Boston. However, despite falling behind, Wrexham impressively beat Mansfield 4-1, however a home game against the other Nottinghamshire team, Notts County ended 1-1. Carlisle completed the double over Wrexham with a 2-1 victory, a scoreline which Wrexham won by when Rochdale visited the Racecourse. However, they suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Grimsby on New Years Eve and then a 1-0 defeat at Shrewsbury on Tuesday.
