Reaction to the MK Dons game

We bring you our usual reaction of things and this time, it's the half-hearted effort against MK Dons in the FA Cup. Many players didn't seem bothered about going out of the world's most famous club cup competition and they better watch out because Keith has said some are on their final chance.

“Team Lincoln” is now officially dead. The efforts of some of the players was creditable, however, the efforts of others means that all endeavour seems pointless. Certain players looked like they simply couldn’t be arsed and some of the these are the players who constantly go “I want to help the club win promotion” which based on performances by those players, is pure and utter crap.

 

There were few players to come out of tonight’s game with any credit and the only player who would have even had an excuse for having a bad game would have been McCombe but unlike certain others, he actually tried.

 

We’ve won 5 out our 22 games so far this season, there is a reason for that, it’s not luck, it’s not the referee’s, it’s not that we’re having off days, it’s pure and simple, we are crap. Our strikers are about as useful as condom machines in the Vatican and although some of them do a lot in the middle of the field, as soon as they get in the box, you might as well put a yoghurt pot in their replacement because you’d still get exactly the same result.

 

On a positive note, Keith seems to have finally realised that we do actually have a left sided defender and pushed Beevers back over the right hand side, allowing Mayo to slot into the left back position. Mayo infact was easily man of the match for the Imps and didn’t really put a foot wrong all night.
