Reaction and pics from the Bury game

As usual, we bring you reactions from the Bury game and it appears their fans were watching a different match. Bury fans had made a lot of comments which make it seem like they were at a completely different game? If you believed their version, you'd be mistaken for thinking Bury were infact Brazil

Was it just me or did anyone else at the game get that feeling of tedious inevitability? Seriously though, whenever we dominate a game like that, we usually don't win and what makes it even more frustrating is the fact that Bury were crap. Bury were arguably the worst team that we've faced this season and I've seen comments from their fans such as "it was a well deserved point", what a lot of crap, they were awful and if they deserved a point, then Liam Lawrence meant to hit the bar in the 2003/4 playoff final penalty shoot out.

I've also seen Bury fans praising their passing game against our "hoofing" tactics. Incase you didn't notice, virtually every single pass you made was either an hoof or went out for a throw in, if you think you played beautiful flowing tactics then you seriously need a reality check. Bury were absolutly dreadful and if they don't get relegated, it'll be a damn miracle.

Pictures of the game can be found here - http://photobucket.com/albums/a103/buryaway/ (I would have taken pictures of Bury getting near the goal but even duracell doesn't last that long)

"We were excellent from start to finish" (we hear this quite often Keith but for once, I agree)

"We had 2 goals disallowed and the post 3 times away from home. What more could we ask for other than getting the 3 points? Of course we're all disappointed but it was an outstanding performance and I'm very pleased"

"We were in control from teh start and Bury were never in it"

"We played out get out of jail card at the end, we were second best throughout the game. Did we deserve a point, I don't know" (I'll answer that for you, no you bloody didn't)

"Lincoln dominated a little too much (maybe completely would be a more accurate phrase Chris) more than we would like but they're a difficult side to play against"

Chris Casper, manager, Bury caretaker manager.

"I thought we started off well but despite a lot of running, passing and movement, the big Lincoln defenders stood their ground and dealt with everything that came near them before bypassing the midfield with long balls to three forwards." - whilst we're on this subject, big defenders? Do you mean the 4 defenders where all but 1 of them are under 6ft tall

"Great to see the Manchester Road End packed and there seemed to be a lot more Bury fans in the Cemmy End and the South Stand. Farrell and Hilton were there together once again and they'll probably agree that a draw was the most we could have got from that game. The Lincoln fans will probably be a little more frustrated. I think that's the 5th time they've taken the lead away from home and failed to win."
