I could use a lot of words to describe today's "performance". I'll just a few out of the dictionary for you, deplorable, unconvincing and un-optimistic. Let's start at the beginning, where was the marking for Oxford's goal? Apparantly our defence is the best in the division, well where the hell were the defence then. I mean jesus christ, there were no players other than Marriott within 10 yards of him and it's no surprise that we're giving away stupid goals if our defenders don't even appear able to mark someone who's stood there for 20 seconds waiting for a cross.
I've been to all but 2 games since Keith took over and this was quite frankly one of the worst performances I've ever seen from City and quite frankly, if we get in the playoffs and play like this again, we'll just be ending up embarassing ourselves on TV (again)
On a pleasent note though, it was good to see Asamoah finally score for City and you never know, he could end up going on an impressive run of scoring now and he's release of emotion after his goal, says it all about scoring.
Don't get me wrong, I am very pleased that we won but I think a lot of Lincoln fans could use a reality check if they think we played well.

"Yeah, it was a very deserved win and it's just what our just deserts after recent performances" which game were you watching Keith?
"We've got into the habit of letting every shot the opposition has been going in"
"It's 1-0 down and you're trying to get back into the game and the crowd is getting very difficult, and that's understandable and you want the players to go out there and play without any fear, but that's very difficult"
"Some of Mayo's delivery has been very poor so far but a cracking header from Birch was very deserved"
"It was a good goal from Asamoah, he's got blistering pace and he's got blistering place. He's a good player at this level and despite having some shots that left something to be desired, he finally got that goal"

"Finally our season gets under way with a good second half performance from the imps. and to top it all futcher gets sent off and scores an own goal in a 3-0 loss! (ForzaImps - Impsight)"
"7 Yellow 2 Reds, not a really bad tackle all day, good job we have a huge squad."

"Listening to talbot on the radio still gives me confidence in the rest of the season, encouraging that he knows he's team isn't right and that he'll make changes i feel we'll get at least two more players one being a striker"
"Every team loses games, its not a big deal! Keep your heads up and be positive, its what everyone needs to do!! 3 points next Saturday and we will be back up there! Come on Oxford!!!!!"
