Feetham’s, the only ground to this day to see Paul Morgan score for Lincoln. Now, why Darlington chose to move from this ground which adequately suited their needs to a ground they’re never going to fill, is completely beyond me, however, there is now debating that stadium is much better than Feethams.

 

The only time I’ve ever been to Feethams was a miserable November day where it was raining all day long and I was extremely ill so watching a 0-0 where City didn’t have a single shot didn’t really give me a great impression of Feethams.

 

Now, remember the Cambridge review where I talk about a lovely walk in the countryside to get the ground? Well this is similar except you have a 10 minute walk down grotty back alley before eventually coming to this football ground which looks so incredibly out of place, it was almost comical.

 

Once you enter the away end, you get into a choice of either a seated section or a terrace and I personally chose the terrace. Mistake. This offered a really bad view of the action and what made it worse was looking at that grotesque (for lack of a better word) stand they had spent a fair bit of money working on. It was just awful, black and white stripes really didn’t work and it is quite frankly, the worst stand I have ever seen at a ground.

 

The stand to our left was a small terrace, again looking to provide a poor view of the action whereas the final stand was a large terrace but hardly anyone was in this stand.

 

The atmosphere was a joke as well with the occasional chant of “Darlo, Darlo, Darlo” coming from the chavs behind the goal.

 

Overall, I am delirious with delight about never having to go to this ground again. Even if this had been a glorious sunny day, when I wasn’t ill and we had won 5-0, I would still hate this ground.
