City win the Lincoln derby
By Nathan Jackson July 21 2005
Lincoln City beat Lincoln United by 2-0 with goals from Scott Kerr and youngster, Chris Gordon in a good game. A fierce game took place as expected with neiter team giving an inch but City came through it all thanks to a penalty and a 25 yard thunderbolt.

City took the lead towards the end of the first half when Scott Kerr slotted home a penalty after the Lincoln United defender had upended the City striker. City made it 2-0 in the final minute when Chris Gordon smashed in a shot from 25 yards.

Yet again it was the youngsters who really impressed the most in this game with Ryan, Frecklington, Gordon and Mettam all putting in decent performances and all could push for a first team place this season.
