City brush Grantham aside
By Nathan Jackson July 16 2005
City beat Grantham Town 2-0 with goals coming from Dean Keates and Ollie Ryan in a confident display to make it 3 wins from the 3 pre-season games so far. The 2 goals either side of half time saw the Imps comfortably beat the non-leaguers who rarely threatened.

Keates opened the scoring after around 20 minutes after a mistake from the goal keeper saw him parry the ball in the air and the former Kidderminster man, headed the ball into the net from close range.

Ryan scored towards the end of the game, again an open goal but Ryan is seriously starting to get into a scoring habit.

Green should have made it 3-0 minutes later but missed an open goal from 3 yards out (no check, the the photo's for proof) and also went on to miss a one on one situation by skying the ball.
