A reliable source close to theimps.tk has revealed that Keith Alexander has contacted striker David Johnson. The Nottingham Forest striker has been told he can leave the City Ground after Forest were relegated to League 1. Gary Megson is having a clear out and Johnson could be on his way here.
Forest have had a very poor season and were relegated a few weeks ago to League 1, the first time they've been in the third level of English football since the 1950's and manager Gary Megson had promised a clear out and has lived up to that promise. 12 players have been released including former Imps loanee, Craig Westcarr and 5 players have been put up for transfer including Johnson. The source who won't be named is a close friend of the Forest striker and confirmed the Jamaican had recieved an offer from Keith Alexander to join Lincoln.
Johnson joining the Imps would mainly depend on what Divison the Imps are playing in and on the fee and wages that the striker would command, a combination which will be very likely to be out of Lincoln's range but as people say, never say never.
