INTRODUCTION
1 defeat in 10 sees the Imps lay 13th and with a chance to move into the top 12 for the first time since the 2nd game of the season. That record however failed to earn Keith the manager of the month award which went to Chester with Chris Kamara saying that no other team had lost only 1 of the last 10, erm, Chris, we did and we're higher than Chester. But then again, Keith never wins manager of the month, even if we won all the games he still wouldn't get it.
Anyway, Saturday sees the visit of the only team that are more inconsistant that the Imps. A team that reach the playoffs last season but were only in a playoff spot for the final two weeks of the season. Over the whole season, Northampton didn't deserve the playoff place that belonged to Yeovil who were there all season. I was glad when they lost to Mansfield in the semi finals because it was justice towards the Lincoln, Huddersfield and Mansfield who had all been in the playoff picture all season to be joined by the most boring team in the division playing wise (after Oxford),
+TEAM NEWS FOR THE IMPS
Paul Morgan is still out but is hopefully back for next week's game at Hartlepool in the FA Cup. Gary Taylor-Fletcher is back from injury although it's 50/50 if he will play because he was going to come on last week but more indecisiveness from Keith meant, for 20 minutes at Cambridge kept telling him to take his tracksuit off to only tell him to put it back on again.
Other than that, the Imps have a fully squad.

NORTHAMPTON TOWN
As you have probably been able to tell, I aint exactly a fan of the way Northampton got in the playoffs last season, to sneak in at the last minute and deny a team that had worked so hard for it and been around there all season (Yeovil) was just wrong based over the whole season when at Christmas, Northampton were considerably closer to relegation that playoffs.
This season has seen then hover anywhere between 9th and 20th making them the most inconsistant team in the division, even more so with the Imps. There away record is pretty poor, just winning 2 away games in the league this season (Swansea 2-0 and Cambridge 1-0).
PREVIOUS RESULTS AGAINST CAMBRIDGE UNITED
Not much to say really as the teams haven't met that often recently, last season resulted in two draws from two games that City have easily won.
