Imps aim for 3 of a kind
By Nathan Jackson October 17 2004
The Imps face Rochdale on Tuesday night with the possibility of making it 3 wins in a row for the Imps, something that has only happened twice under Keith Alexander's management.

INTRODUCTION

The Imps go into the Tuesday night game on the back of a 7 game unbeaten run, the joint longest current going in the Division along with Chester City. The Imps are facing a Rochdale side who yet again find themselves down near the bottom of the table after finding consitancy a problem.

The Imps will be looking to finally get into the playoffs because after 7 games without defeat, the Imps are still in 14th place but it says a lot about this Division when we're only 6 points off the top of the league. A win could possibly move the Imps into the top 10 for the first time since the first week of the season.

+TEAM NEWS FOR THE IMPS

The Imps have an almost full strength squad with GTF (another mystery injury that no-one knew about until the game) and Futcher (suspension) as the only certainties to be out. McAuley could also possibly be a doubt after limping out on Saturday's game against Oxford.

ROCHDALE

Rochdale are yet again struggling after consistency has proved their downfall. Sometimes they're brilliant and beat teams like Wycombe (3-0) and Yeovil (2-1) but they can also do the reverse and lose to clubs they really should be beating such as Notts County (3-0) and Bury (3-0).

PREVIOUS RESULTS AGAINST ROCHDALE

Rochdale have a rather good record at Sincil Bank winning 14 matches out of 49. However, their last victory at Sincil Bank was in 1997. The Imps have a recent good record over Rochdale including an impressive display in a 3-0 win at Rochdale last season.
