AND NOW ARE YOU GONNA BELIEVE US?

3 goals in 9 minutes secured the Imps 3 points that has now raised hopes that we really can go up this season as we are now only 2 points behind Torquay and 4 behind Huddersfield who both have difficult games next weekend. Rochdale dominated the first 5 minutes of the game but never looked like scoring. The Imps started to come back into the game and in the 17th minute, Ben Futcher headed in for his 3rd goal of the season, that was before referee, Scott Mathieson decided Fletcher had fouled the keeper and the game continued.

Neither side could really open up a decent chance with City restricted to long distance shots (especially Sedgemore). City had a lot of corners in the first half but never made any of them count.

The 2nd half began like the 1st had ended with City on the offensive. City just couldn't score. In the 57th minute however, City finally scored when a Mark Bailey cross was headed down by Ellison and the onrushing keeper missed the ball and Fletch tapped the ball in from around 2 yards out.

City then decided to go and start dominating the game. Yeo came on for Green and almost immediatly made an impact. He did a slightly less impressive Fletcher-esque run and shot from the edge of the area straight into the net.

It was all City and after less than a minute, City were on the attack again when a through ball was latched onto by Yeo's toe poke that missed the ball and fell to Fletcher for the popular striker to score his 18th of the season.

After that City decided that we had enough goals for one game. Richard Butcher then made his return after 2 months out but by this point, the ground was actually at the point where Lincoln fans outnumbered Rochdale fans because the majority of their fans had left.
