To say Keith hasn't mastered times to make substitutions would be an understandment. Keith always makes the subs at the wrong time with the wrong players coming on for players who don't deserve to come off. Does anybody remember Hull, we were 2-0 down so Keith brings on Rory May, WHAT THE **** WAS HE GONNA DO. Today, City looked a much different side either side of the substitions and went from dominating the game to barely hanging on for a draw.
City kicked off kicking towards the Mundy Stand and dominated the early play. We could have been 3-0 up after 5 minutes. Scunny didn't even manage a shot until the 15th minute.
City took the lead in the 34th minute when Peter Gain's hard work paid off as he drove a left footed shot from a narrow angle to sent the over 4000 Imps fans into delight.
In the 2nd half, the Imps, no matter how hard we tried, couldn't extend the lead. Then came the most bizarre incident of the game, Keith takes off our best player on the pitch and it changes the game.
City started to struggle but Scunny took their time. Cleveland Taylor picked up the ball on the far right hand side. He was on the touchline, at least 30 yards out so decided to belt it and it soured over Marriott. If you say Angel's goal vs Bolton then it's a replica of that.
City barely held on for a draw. Although it was better than recent weeks, it still wasn't enough as poor finishing seems to be City's downfall yet again. Thankfully other results helped and City remain 8th only 1 point off 7th but now 3 off 6th.
