A very sunny day welcomed a crowd of just over 5100 with around 1800 coming from Yorkshire.
Huddersfield kicked off shooting towards the Stacey West end and they got off to the perfect start when after just 4 minutes, they took the lead. Poor marking from City saw a cross come in from the left and Booth headed in from 6 yards after being totally unmarked.
City nearly equalised less than a minute later but Liburd's cross was just too high for Fletcher to connect with.
With Huddersfield's fans in full voice, Booth got behind the defence but was ruled to be offside but still shot anyway and managed to get it in the net.
City's performance was a very rare one and didn't look like scoring at all despite having the vast majority of the play. Infact, the Huddersfield goal was the only "legal" shot they had on target in the first half.
Francis Green then had a great oppurtunity to get City equalised just before half time but his shot went inches wide.
The half time whistle blew to the relief of Huddersfield fans.
The 2nd half began with City having a shot go just over after just 7 seconds from Gary Fletcher.
The game was then disrupted when about 50 Huddersfield fans just charged at the Lincoln end which resulted in the Lincoln fans at the bottom of the same doing the same. The area suddenly became full of the florescent jackets of the police and stewards. The referee wisely stopped play until the trouble was over as he moved all players into the centre spot.
City then had a goal disallowed when a Gain cross was caught by the keeper only for Green to head it out of his hands as he was jumping at the same time. Liburd then attempted an overhead kick which went in the net but the ref had awarded a free kick.
Yeo replaced Bailey which swung the game and within 30 seconds, City drew level. A scamble on the edge of the 6 yard box saw Richardson prod the ball over the keeper and sent Sincil Bank into pure Nirvana. Huddersfield failed to sing a single song after that.
That Nirvana was doubled 3 minutes later when Gary Fletcher shot from the edge of the area. Around 200 Huddersfield "fans" left in anger. They would have missed a penalty decision where a cross in the box hit Paul Morgan's arm. Booth took the penalty but Marriott saved yet another penalty.
It continued to go City's way all the way to the end and City could have made it 4, 5, 6, 7 or even 8 with the amount of chances we had but City settled for just one more.
Yeo burst one on one with the keeper. His initial shot was parried, however, his followed up shot nestled in the bottom left hand corner of the net and City back went into ecstacy, it turned out to be the last kick of the game.
City now find themselves 9th in the table and a win on Tuesday night against Macclesfield, could see City go 6th in the table and to be perfectly honest and meaning no dis-respect to Macclesfield, I fully expect us to do it.
