Midfielder : Jon Nolan

The Imps beat off competition from top end Conference sides for the signature of the highly rated Jon Nolan from Stockport in 2013. The youngster was a regular for the Hatters but couldn't help them avoid defeat.

Youngster Nolan was a product of the Everton youth but didn't make an appearance at Goodison Park before being released. He quickly linked up with Stockport County, recently relegated from the Football League (with the Imps) and was thrown straight into first team football, making 62 League appearances in his two year spell.

Whilst he helped Stockport avoid the drop in his first season, he, and several other players who would go on to become City players during the summer of 2013, were relegated the following year. 

Nolan signed a contract with the Imps despite interest from clubs at the top end of the Conference from the previous season.
