Where do you think you're going? : Wycombe
By Nathan Jackson June 13 2007
Well, I aint gonna pretend I like Wycombe Wanderers' Adams Park ground, but it does host an excellent away end and is one of our longer trips of the 2008/9 season. City have a decent recent record at Adams Park recenlt, including being the only away side to score 3 goals there in 2006/7.

Now, I'm not going to pretend that I like Wycombe because most of you know that I would be lying if I said I did. However, it's not as bad as I once made it out to be. The one really positive thing I'll say about Wycombe is that it has a fantastic away end. The view is brilliant from the away end and it's quite easy to create a decent atmosphere.

However, the rest of the ground is bland and seemingly unimaginative, set in an area that seems to be the last place you'd think you'd find a football ground and a certain lack of atmosphere makes this an away game that I'm rarely pushed into looking for when the fixtures come out. However, there is the odd chance that you'll find an ever exciting horse race going on

Due to the ground being in an industrial estate, there are few pubs around and the nearest is a 15 minute walk away. There is a Supporters Bar that lets away fans in at the ground for £2 but it does get quite full quickly. The atmosphere in here is apparantly fairly relaxed, similar to the Centre Spot at Sincil Bank.

Wycombe fans seem generally ambivalent towards Lincoln fans to be honest. They're not particulary talkative but they aren't just going to start shouting things at you.

To get to Adams Park, Leave the M40 at Junction 4 and turn left at the 4th roundabout into Lane End Road. Head forward and cross the next roundabout and keep going to get to the ground. There is a car-park on the hill next to the ground. Alternatively you could try and find a parking spot on the industrial estate....good luck with that one though.

There are no train times for this due to the repairs going on at Lincoln Central on the day of this game.
