City's 2 games at the National Hockey Stadium against the MK Dons were quite eventful to say the least, it's also very fair to say it wans't the best ground in the Football League. However, those days are well and truly over with a brand new spanking stadium.
Now, I'm not going to lie, I couldn't give a damn about the MK Dons/Wimbledon argument, doesn't bother me in the slightly and is a stupid argument because it doesn't change anything.
The new stadium will have some padded seats, tv screens in the concourse so you can watch the game and even a turnstile with reads the barcode on your ticket to allow you entry to the ground, the turnstile operators are obviously a dying breed in MK.
Unfortuneately it looks like there won't be a lot to do at the new ground due to it's location, and the only bar within a reason distance is the one at the ground, all the others are believed to be around a 20-25 minute walk away.
To get to the ground, head along the M5 and take the left turn heading south, leave the A5 at the third roundabout, get in the right hand lane and take the fourth turning, V6 Grafton Street. Alternatively, if you like a challenge then find your way to the grid reference V6 and H9 in MK's tribute to the Roman's way of building.

Trains to MK are very awkward to say the least and the first stage requires you to go from Lincoln to either Peterborough, Nottingham, Newark or Leicester, very awkward indeed.
Due to this it's probably best that you check the National Rail website to plan for your journey.
Much like trains there, trains back are quite awkward so again it's best to check the National Rail website to sort your journey out. Trains are either £42.70 or £66.80 depending on what time you depart and how early you book.

It is 4 miles from the train station to the ground so your best bet there is to take a taxi. However, if you head to Bletchley then the stadium is just 2 miles away, passing several pubs on the way.
To get there from Bletchley Station, turn left and walk down the road under the railway bridge. Bear left onto Saxon Street at the roundabout. Go straight ahead at the double mini roundabout and then follow the signs for Central MK and the A5 and then will take you to the stadium.
