It was a day that could see the final ever league meeting between the Imps and the Pilgrims and it was City as the victors. A calmed finish from Stallard was followed by one of the best team goals you're likely to see in the division this year as City made it 4 wins from 5.

The funny thing about today's winning goal was that when the move started, everyone shouted "what the hell are you doing?" at Forrester as he delayed his distribution of the ball but his cross, Frecklington's knock down and Hughes' header rounded off what will easily go down as the best team goal we've scored so far this season. It was a goal that summed us up so far this season and hopefully what will continue to be our style of play in the second half of the season.

Yes, we won the game but I'll be honest, the same old problem is arising that Boston scored with their first shot on target, and had it not been for a goal-line clearance, they would have scored with their second. It followed on from Peterborough scoring with their only shot on target, Chester did the same as did several other sides that we've faced recently and although we're winning games, there will be a time when we're not scoring anymore and our trend of conceding every shot on target might be what costs us promotion.

However, I'm going to be optimistic and say I truly believe that we can now go on and win promotion. Players such as Jeff Hughes, are starting to refind the form that made them fans favourites in the first place. We started the second half pretty badly but introducing Hughes and Frecklington changed the game and although Gritton tried hard, it wasn't hard to replace Nicholson as he was quite bad yet again.

Sorry that this reaction wasn't very long but I'd not nothing else to say really except that we shall hopefully be cheering the Imps onto victory on Saturday.
