Although we suffered a home defeat at the weekend to the league leaders, The diamonds should not feel any shame because Falkirk are a class act compared to the other first division contenders .We have just got to accept that we were beaten by a superior team and should take heart from the fact, that at times we had them under the cosh infact when “Old King Coyle” made it 1-2 I began to believe that we could take something from the game, but that notion was cruelly put to bed four minutes later when the Bairns netted their third.

The most frustrating aspect of the afternoon was that Latapy’s goal apart the oppositions goals could have been avoided if our defence hadn’t been so lackadaisical and cleared their lines more efficiently. The case for our defence must be addressed most urgently. We have got to stop gifting goals to our opponents the sooner we do this the sooner we will start picking up important points But we shouldn’t dwell too much on the negatives and concentrate on the positives and go into this weekends fixture full of hope that we will return from Dumfries with a favourable result.
