Has Colin Charvis former Wales Captain and this seasons Newcastle Falcons captain had his day? For the full story details read on.

Has Colin had his day at Newcastle Falcons?  Rumours are flying up North that Colin will be the next player to be released by Rob Andrew, Falcons Director of Rugby.  Some fans have commented on Colin's body language on the field recently, not looking a happy bunny and running straight down the tunnel after the match etc.,

Local Journalist Alan Headley, The Newcastle Journal had this to say today:

Falcons to axe skipper

"Falcons skipper Colin Charvis looks like joining the exodus from Kingston Park as Newcastle wind down a disappointing season with their penultimate Premiership game at Worcester tomorrow.  The Wales back row isn't in the Falcons 22 for the match - and neither are Dave Walder, Owen Finegan and Tino Paoletti who have all been released from the final year of their contracts.

While Falcons director of rugby Rob Andrew confirmed the release of that trio he wouldn't be drawn on the future of Charvis, whose contract ends at the end of the season.  But my information is that Charvis is not happy with the way negotiations have gone and will probably move on."

So the Falcons Captain could be winging his way back to the valleys pretty sharpish it would seem and it looks like Australian Matt Burke will get the Captaincy at Falcons next season.

So who might Colin play for if he does go?
