Yorkshire put their first trophy of the season into Headingley's Trophy cabinet when they won the Pro Arch Trophy following a four wicket win over the UAE. This was a particularly pleasing performance from the Tykes with Andrew Gale, Greg Wood and Mark Lawson all coming to the fore.
Yorkshire restricted to UAE to 190, David Wainwright bowled a fine spell going for only 19 in his ten overs. Mark Lawson put in his best display for some time taking 3 for 36, there were alson two wickets for Hannon-Dalby and Bresnan.
Andrew Gale, 69 and Greg Wood 50 put on 94 for the first wicket to put Yorkshire in site of victory, something they accomplished by four wickets.
This has been a good start to the season for Yorkshire to win this competition should give them a great boost for when the serious stuff starts next month.
