Not familiar with Saints other than the obvious names who are about the main team but we look to have picked a side which is a much better match than the first time around.
Bello could be a good test of where Waller is currently as this will be his first time playing for us but I believe he will be our second choice TH. Hallet got his first senior cap against Quins? A few others like Knight, Stonham and Lewis have a few senior caps. Looking forward to seeing Harris on the wing too.
It will be interesting to see the Grayson v Vunipola head to head. I'm quite a fan of Vunipola but some of our supporters are less certain. Grayson feels like one of those with lots of potential who haven't quite hit it yet?
Other than Judge and Bracken I'm not familiar with the bench.
Hopefully it's a good game despite the weather.
TimperleySaint In other news water is wet and we're being mullered in the scrum. Waller has gone off and Prowse on. So I think 2 tight heads with Heffernan
And how do you think it's going given the score at 21.30 hrs, ie 58-28?

Gosh! 63-29 now. Hmmm...
Live score link seems to be badgered! FT is 58-34 apparently
Still a good win, Skosan hat trick!
Just got home. Fun game! We were really good in open play both in attack and defence. Totally dominant physically. Some brilliant tries. Hinkley and skosan were excellent (skosan pulled off a reinach-esque recovery tackle to save a certain try).
Only negative was that we got taken apart (mostly) in the scrum and maul. Interesting because our players were generally bigger and more physical - why can't we translate that into the tight?
Great win
As said more than one putting their hand up for selection
Thought Braley deserves a mention
Look forward to seeing what he can do when he gets a chance in first team
Oooh good breakfast viewing. Looked a fun game and I have to say that the Sarries hooker had to work very hard for his scores, not all armchair rides as you might expect. Some good performances and some real endeavour as well, we do have a lot of strength in depth.

Some very good performances, I agree.
I think "nuggety" for the Sarries hooker? Certainly powerful.
I love the way Tom Litchfield carries in two hands!
Not sure about Aaron Hinckley's barber!
That Sarries hooker certainly looks powerful, may be seeing some first team action with George out for a while.
From the highlights I'd agree with Matt Fergusson's comments about playing the same way - the difference is it looked like more stuck last night so we could concede 30+ points and still win comfortably!
Maybe Hinkley reads this board and has decided to be the psycho/hardman a lot want - he certainly looks the part now! Joking aside his impact (literally) last season was as a tackler, really stopping momentum in attack and getting turnovers. It may have just been playing 8 but he looked to really carry strongly last night, Ludlam esque in that he's not going to be the biggest 8 by a long shot but used footwork before contact and leg drive after to make ground.

That was my thought as well! I rocked up about a minute before kick off so had missed the teams being announced, and assumed Hinkley had been replaced in the squad until he got close enough that I could see his face!
I enjoyed seeing Joel Matavesi at inside centre, having the power to run through defenders and his offloading was something i think we miss at the moment.
I'd like to see Nansen starting at lock and Coles onto the bench, purely for his extra power in the loose to gain us extra yards and tiring the opposition pack a bit more trying to stop him.
Maybe a back row of Hinkley,Ludlam and Augustus would work due to the doggedness of both flankers and power carrying of Augustus?
Certainly would like to see Braley on the bench for James.
Has there been any news on Ethan since going off with that awful looking knockout?
I worried Hinkley may be underpowered as an 8 but he didn't look it from the highlights!
History tells me that there should be a lanky 6 in the back row but perhaps that isn't needed any more. All three of Ludlam, Trokkie and Hinkley operate in the lineout but none of them really excel there.
Still seen nothing but the highlights. Disappointing how poor our defence was but that was definitely also a measure of your physicality in the loose and the quality of your attack. Well done and good luck for the rest of the competition.
