The fixtures have been set, first up we have one of the strongest challenges, an away game at Saracens, is this the best time to play them when they will be missing a big chunk of the squad on world cup duty?

Couldn't ask for a tougher 1st game but it could be a blessing in that it gets it over and done with, followed by a game that should restore spirits if we were to lose.
Looking at the end of the season, for once, we have avoided some of the bigger teams. No reason why we can't win all the Prem games in March, April and May.
Interesting take from Alex Sanderson in the Chron (although I suspect they've only included part of what he said!) - he's pointed out that we were perhaps the best attacking side last season and that was the first season with Boyd.
We are going into the new season with a relatively settled squad, full pre-season and relatively few RWC absentees, there's every chance of hitting the ground running.
has anyone seen a list that shows each clubs players that will be at the world cup.
Assuming that we have 7 including O Franks (i think) away at the World Cup, it would be interesting to see how other clubs are being stripped of their prize assets.
Francis - England
Lawes - England
Ludlam - England
Api - Fiji
Hutchinson - Scotland
Tuala - Samoa
Franks - New Zealand
We won't know until final squads but even then there will be injury call ups. If Reinach doesn't make the initial squad he's almost certainly om speed dial in case of injuries.
The other variable is the result, if their national team go well they are likely to come back in a good state of mind at least, if they crash out our underperform then it would be the reverse!
can't believe that i forgot about Cobus... oh, and Dan Biggar!
So, including Franks, that makes a potential 9 players that will be at the World Cup.
By my reckoning, Sarries will have 12
Billy V - England
Kruis - England
George - England
Williams - Wales
Mako V - England
Itoje - England
Farrell - England
Maitland - Scotland
Koch - South Africa
Daly - England
Singleton - England
Spencer - England
Given their strength in depth, it's still going to be a massive ask. They still have the likes of Goode, Lewington, Lozowski, Skelton and Barritt
Saint Stokey can't believe that i forgot about Cobus... oh, and Dan Biggar!

I think they could als be without Figallo -Argentina and Lamositele -USA assuming they are still Sarries

think I saw Figallo had been called up by Argentina as well and Lamositele in the wider USA squad
It's a tough run in with 3 of our 4 final Premiership games away.
On the plus side both times we face Sarries they will be depleted of their internationals.
Tigers will be tough in the middle of 4 Champions Cup matches when Tigers can rest players in the games leading up to the derby due to being in the Challenge Cup.

Tigers won’t be resting many players considering they’re trying to find a new owner !!!
