MoTM: AP Newcastle Home - James Wilson

Newcastle were making their first appearance at the gardens for a couple of seasons following promotion under the tutelidge of one Dean Richards.  Of interest to many was that the man with the whistle was also one Dean Richards although we are assured they are no relation.  It was not a free flowing game as the Falcons defended as if their lives depended on it.  The result was never really in doubt as Newcastle rarely threatened.  Many suppporters came expecting an easy win and were disappointed to only get 4 points.  My view is there are no easy games and many banana skins.  This was a banana skin avoided

Erm - I think I made a mistake in the title - it was an AP game not an LV game. Will try and correct now sad smiley

It's good to see MotM being spread about a bit more - I was beginning to think Sam Dicko would win it every week! But am impressed by different players popping up to take the accolade.
