Another Green Return

The British and Irish Lions provided an interesting summer diversion but now we will have to wait an interminable time for the real live action to start. Bath will provide the mouth-watering opposition fort the opener at The Stoop on September 26t, which is actually a Friday night (kick off 7.45). Tickets are on sale now so you can buy yours and look it at on the mantlepiece for the next six or seven weeks.

It'll be on telly that night as will Red Bulls v Sarries. It could be an interesting season even though we stll only have nine teams to face to face.

Not too much happening off the field and there's no rush with that delayed start to the season. We do have Tyrone Gren back and looking raring to go, by his own admission,  while Max Green returns from CA Perigueux forr the season to provide scrum-half cover.

He will be vying for selection with new boy Stu Townsend, incumbent Will Porter and Lucas Friday. Once upon a time you couldn't have enough props - now you can't have enough half-backs.

Disappointing seventh finish last season. Must do better this time around.
