New Year Hangover

The plan was to start the New Year with a win at a Saints side struggling for form. Instead, 2023 started with a resounding 46-17 defeat.

Northampton Saints' Lukhan Salakaia-Loto making his way onto the pitch (bottom-centre) before the Gallagher PremiershipAll the fireworks came from the home team.

Saints were on the front foot throughout going into a 17-3 lead at the break courtesy of tries from Alex Waller and two from  James Ramm.

Quins were heavy legged and, despite some epic defence on their own line, conceded further tries to Lukhan Salakaia-Loto,  George Furbank and Rory Hutchinson with only a reply from George Els to counter.

Nick David did run in from way-out for a further consolation and Quins do remain in third place with plenty of work needed on the training pitch.

Fortunately there's a week off as Wasps would have been this week's visitors.
