Great Start

Quins have not lost their  touch during the summer. The ability to tough games out and finish with a winning flourish was still there as we overcame a tenacious Falcons to win 26-20 with an all important try bonus point.

The home side had some really dangerous backs - notably new England wing Adam Radwan - and fully deserved their losing bonus point as both sides entertained a Sunday afternoon TV audience.

Marcus Smith wasn't there to add his magic, but in Man of the Match Tomasso Allan we had a very worthy deputy.

Louis Lynagh tackled by Newcastle Falcons' Iwan Stephens during the Gallagher PremiershiIt was pretty even in the first half with both sides looking to play with ball in hand.  Louis Lynagh and Joe Marchant gave us a great start but Falcons refused to roll over with Radwan and Iwan Stephens scoring before the break.

The ever dangerous Lynagh (left) crossed again only  scrum half Louis Schreuder on the end of a interception break .

Up stepped Danny Cares with a typical sniping try to secure the bonus point and get the season off to a perfect start.

The juggernaut is moving.
