Strange times indeed, but we have the honour of kicking off the most unusual Premiership there is every likely to be with the visit of last season's worthy champions.

No supporters in The Stoop on Friday night to see Quins v Chiefs, but there will be plenty of BT cameramen so we can enjoy a game in which the taking part is definitely more important than the winning. Although victory for Paul Gustard's boys  would be nice. Kick off 7.45

Reports of vaccines in the making and new Government aid (sadly loans not grants) popping throigh the letterbox are definitely positive signs for the game as a whole. Rugby will eventually be the winner.

We go into the start of this  neew season with a dozen players either on international duty or injured. Nevertheless it's an experienced 15 whch starts and a decent bench with two new faces in Jack Stafford and Tyrone Green.

Quins: Mike Brown, Nathan Earle, Luke Northmore, Andre Esterhuizen, Cadan Murley, Marcus Smith, Danny Care, Santiago Garcia Bootta, Scott Baldwin, Wilco Louw, Matt Symons, Stephan Lewies (capt), Tom Lawday, Will Evans, Alex Dombrandt.

Changes:  Jack Musk, Jordan Els, Simon Kerrod, Glen Young, Archie White, Jack Stafford,  Ben Tapuai, Tyrone Green.

Chies are also misising players for the same reasons but travel with a strong squad and a crown to defend.

Chiefs: Facundo Cordero, Tom O’Flaherty, Ian Whitten, Ollie Devoto, Olly Woodburn, Joe Simmonds, Jack Maunder, Alec Hepburn,  Jack Yeandle (capt), Harry Williams,  Will Witty, Don Armand, Dave Ewers, Jannes Kirsten,  Sam Simmonds.
