Even if you don’t know the Harlequins at the start, you will by the end. It is an absolute must read for fans not only of the Quins, but of rugby in general.

I tried to auction a rugby ball given to me at start of BT reign signed by Will Carling and no one interested in him or knew who he was! That was at a prep school in Surrey fete!
typical - you wait 150 years for a book about Harlequins' 1st 150 years ... and then two come along at once
I ( and increasingly more like me ) dont buy from amazon ... esp. when book shops in london for example will be seeing up to 90% rates increases .....and online amazon pay zero ..... just saying
will seek it out elsewhere however

Of all the reasons to dislike amazon, that's the strangest I've heard.

RieQ - my copy arrived on Thursday. Really looking forward to reading it. Will wait until October half-term when I have the time to give it the consistent attention it deserves. As someone who's written a rugby book myself I can appreciate the amount of work that must have gone into it. Seriously well done.

adst - the difficulties of setting up accounts with bookshops precluded me from doing it as I am essentially working on my own. I will be trying to get the book into some local shops around the Twickenham area.

Adst couldn't agree more try not to use Amazon ever support the Book People site. Good value and all local book shops. Amazon don't pay corporation tax here and pay peanuts to staff.
I understand fully all the problems Nick is going through with getting Distribution .. will definitely buy locally when he is set up ..no problem, just a principle of mine regarding Amazon (being an old git ) - supporter since 1960 when we played across the road on the twickers tin shack and on the old local council ground that.. became Stoop ...if that helps explain my stance ..so anticipating a good read about Quins - and my life ...

Just started reading my copy received a s a birthday present. Not the sort of thing to sit and read from start to finish so I chose the BGate chapter as a start, a bit painful but very informative with all of the facts set down in one place. Thanks RleQuin.
